Lululemon pants
There are two problems with Lululemon, the first being they aren’t carried by many retailers, or via handy online stores like Amazon. (You can find some eBay stores that have their stuff, but ehh, I’m not a big eBay fan.) The second problem is that they are really expensive, like so expensive it makes you wonder if the pants actually come with someone else’s fantastic-looking ass, so your own ass can just chill out while the Stunt Ass does squats and stuff.
Lucky for me (?), there’s a Lululemon store right in my neighborhood mall, and I’ve paid them a visit on a few occasions now. Each time I come away with a sadly depleted wallet, but a brand new piece of workout gear that I love beyond all reason. The pants I own — particularly the Groovy Crop and Boogie Crop styles — really and truly transform my ass into Ass 2.0, a perkier, more firmly arranged version of itself. It may not be Jessica Biel’s ass, but it’s an improved view.
They are also very comfortable, and they’re good quality pants that aren’t going to sag or pill up or get stretched out of shape. They perform equally well during yoga, kickboxing, and sitting on the couch watching Mad Men.
The price is steep, but never underestimate the power of a great workout outfit. I find that the clothes I wear during exercise do influence my level of energy — if I’m wearing irritating, unflattering clothing, I’m going to have a sucky workout because I’m distracted by the ongoing effort of yoinking my pants out of my butt crack, or whatever. While if I’m wearing my Lululemons, I’m happier and more comfortable and I know my rear end doesn’t look half-bad while I’m in Downward Dog. Hey, the little things make a difference.
My cropped Lululemons are definitely my go-to workout clothes. I mean, not that they’re all I wear, ha ha haa ACK, but I feel nearly despondent when they’re in the wash and I have to dig out something else.
How about you? What are your very favorite workout clothes of all time?

Ha! Stunt Ass… love it
I’ve got to get my self to Lululemon, but you’re right, the cost is outrageous. I’m also on the big end of their sizing and don’t want to be in the changing room with the largest size 3/4 way up my legs realizing they won’t go farther up!
Good point about the workout gear making a difference though. I love me some Costco workout clothes. Good quality and cheap!

Lands End does two admirably comperable cropped workout pants. I “need” nice workout close to inspire me to workout and they work with significantly less $$$.

I couldn’t believe how much money I dished out for a pair of their pants, even on clearance, but I am in love with them.
And a big tip for big people like me – try the mens’ section. There’s no way I could fit into the womens’ stuff – could barely get it on my arm never mind my ass. My Lululemon pants are mens’ and they are still great, and they hemmed them for free (because I am both short and wide, as a bonus!).

I love my Shox. I am on to my 4th pair. I like the look but more so I just find them to be the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. Very cushiony which is nice as I injured my heel in 6th grade and it used to bug me after long runs. Not so with shox.
I love my Lulu lemon hoody, haven’t ventured into the pants. My hoody was a hundred bucks but I bet I put it on 3x a week so totally worth it. I have heard about the mythical Lululemon ass. I want! I want!

I, too, adore the lululemon crop. I got a gift certificate for Christmas last year that was so generous I thought I’d have too much money and not enough to spend it on but not so! One pair of pants and one tank top later, it was depleted!
BUT, they are incredibly comfortable, my butt looks perky, and I’ve been wearing them 3x a week for over a year and they show no wear AT ALL.
(Also: their tank tops rule- they are long enough that you’re not showing the rest of your yoga class your belly button- and you can get them almost reasonably priced if you buy the clearance styles/colors.)

When my lovely fiance found out how much these pants cost, he said, and I quote “Do they give blow jobs, too?”
I see his point, but still: WANT!

I am so with you on the Lulu clothes! I was against spending money like this on workout clothes that you can get for cheap at Modell’s — until my Champion sports bras all became stretched out and I had an incident on the elliptical one day: I finished my workout, hopped off, and noticed that my bra was above my boobs. I was wearing a white wife beater, and I have NO idea how long it was like this for!
I immediately went to Lululemon and bought 3 TaTa Tamer bras, which are so worth the money. Not only do they give the best support but they make my chest look GREAT!
Then I needed tight shorts for spin. I wouldn’t even consider looking anywhere but Lulu. Then I decided to invest in a workout top since my wife beaters were getting drenched in spin. Lulu it was. And finally, cropped pants for outside running – Lulu again. I can’t wear anything else! But I feel like I buy one or two pieces at a time, and I am slowly building up a great workout wardrobe that I am excited to exercise in. What a difference!
I also use their headbands. Sigh. Sorry for my ongoing Lulu love rant!

I got a pair of Lululemon pants at a surf shop in Tofino in 2003. No word of a lie, the first 3 times I wore them someone asked me if I’d lost weight. I call them my “magic pants”.
One bonus to being a fitness instructor is that I get a 15% discount at the Lululemon store. Hate me now?
I’m not thrilled how Lululemon pills though, and it makes me save my pants for when I’m not running so there’s less chafing of the fabric.

Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
