One month update – With Pictures!

When I wrote my first post a month ago, my stats were:
Weight: 233 pounds
Bust: 46.5 inches
Waist: 48 inches
Hips: 52 inches
Upper arm: 14.5 inches
Thigh: 26.5 inches
Today, my stats are:
Weight: 226 pounds (loss of 7 pounds)
Bust: 45 (loss of 1.5 inches)
Waist: 45 (loss of 3 inches)
Hips: 51 (loss of 1 inch)
Upper arm: 13.5 (loss of 1 inch)
Thigh: 26 (loss of .5 inch)
I didn’t loose the 10 pounds I’d hoped for, but I lost 7, and I’ll take it. I wasn’t sure if this loss would show up in progress pictures. It’s not as dramatic as I’d hoped, but if you look really, really close, you can see a change happening.
Because I’m lazy (so lazy I didn’t even bother doing my hair for today’s pictures, sorry.), I didn’t check which side I photographed last time, so here I am, butt to butt with myself:
I don’t know, it’s kind of like those “can you spot the difference?” photos, but the scale and the tape measure prove it. There’s been a change. I feel different too. I’m in a smaller size already and overall I just feel…better. I have more energy, I’ve gotten control of my emotional eating, which has been a HUGE challenge, and I feel more hopeful overall. I’ve stuck to an eating and exercise plan for a month and have already seen results. Not only that, but it was so doable. I didn’t starve myself. I didn’t exercise until my legs fell off. I eased into it. I worked hard, don’t get me wrong, but what I’ve been doing the last four weeks feels sustainable. I can easily live like this for the foreseeable future. It doesn’t seem impossible to get to my goal weight anymore. I think that may be the biggest change in me so far.

The change is dramatic. It’s amazing what a seven pound difference can make. I see it in your tone as well, and your face and neck looks very different. CONGRATULATIONS!

Even though you may not “see” a huge difference, I do! Especially in your mid section. Sometimes I think it is hard to see the changes in ourselves. Keep up the great work!!

I see a very dramatic difference!! People who see us everyday don’t notice until we drop like 40 pounds but 7 pounds does make a difference!
Keep it up; you’re looking great!

You can totally tell. In your arms and shoulders and your waist/hips. Way to go!!! I always like to “picture my fat”. This is one 5 pound bag of potatoes and then some. Imagine carrying that around all the time. 7 pounds is significant. Be proud.
