Stuff I Like
By Adrien
Back when I started working out I was all about giant cotton t-shirts, the looser the better. But, as I gradually got fitter and felt better about myself, I stepped up the game and bought some actual decent quality workout clothes. It really makes a difference in how I feel and how I carry myself and hey, that technical wicking fabric? Actually works!
And really, who doesn’t deserve to look cute when they exercise? I swear it makes a difference. My general favorite brands were always Nike and Adidas because they fit well and can easily be found at a discount. (Also, they come in colors that aren’t pink and covered in flowers like a lot of women-specific workout stuff seem to think we want. I do not want.) But then something happened. Something dangerous. I discovered Lululemon.
I know, I can’t afford it either.
But! I am a big eBay nerd so I started researching Lululemon styles and have gradually bought enough to know that this stuff is amazing and worth the crazy prices because it wears like iron and makes your ass look fantastic. I repeat, it makes your ass look fantastic. I promise.
I love the Groove crop best because they have all this awesome seaming and paneled waistline that seems to just suck everything in and makes your ass look like you could bounce a quarter off it. I KNOW. I have two pairs of crops and I’m scheming on a pair of pants for fall. My most recent purchase (eBay again!) was a cute pair of Reverse Groove shorts.
They just arrived yesterday and oh my heck, they are cute but SHORT. Huh. Well, we’ll see.
My favorite tank currently available is the Scoop Neck, which I also will wear just out and about. Super comfortable with a flattering cut that doesn’t cling to my gut, which I appreciate. I also love the Repose tank because of the high neckline, but they don’t make them anymore. (They show up on eBay pretty often, though.)
Just to prove I’m not a weird little Luluclone, I should also mention I still love Nike for workout shirts to wear with my new, um, booty shorts. I got this one recently (on clearance, even):
And it’s just the right amount of fitted without being too fitted. I also swear by Nike Frees for weight lifting:
They come in cute non-pink colors, which is important. To me, anyway.
So there you go. My favorite workout apparel for maximum gym-time cuteness, sans pink flowers.

If I was rich, all of my workout clothes would be lulus. I have two pair and they’ve been washed 89 million times and still look new. They make my ass look awesome. My only issue is they dont breathe very well (at least not the two pair I have) so I overheat quickly in them.
Do they make a more lightweight cotton-y one?

I’ve been hearing about lulus and wanted to try them. Hey, who doesn’t want a great looking ass? Maybe I’ll start scouring eBay for them too, though my last eBay purchase was a nightmare!!

AndreAnna, I believe they do but I haven’t tried it. Lululemon is opening a store in my town TOMORROW and I cannot wait. I’m sick of guessing on eBay purchases.
Leandra, I need to know what happened!

I love my lulu pants. I thought it was all hype until I actually bought a pair. OMG.
I have a great pair of their running shorts, but ummm…their short. Like, really short. Super comfy, and my ass looks great, but um, well, um, *cough* Anyway let’s focus on the ass, shall we? yes.
In other news: I hate flowers on my gym stuff. Half the workout clothes there for women looks like it was designed by dudes who are thinking back to that one time they dated a chick in jr high and hmm, she liked flowers, right? Right!
