You just hit on the reason I started blogging – validation! HA! KIDDING! It’s totally so I had a free space to complain. Okay, kidding again. But I totally get what you mean – if I didn’t have my neighbors teasing me AND asking me how I’m doing AND telling me I’m awesome all the time for keeping up with my running, it would be hard to get motivated some nights. And you too, kiddo – you are sticking to it and you’re inspiring the heck out of me. So keep it up!

Cheerleaders absolutely do work! When I did the Breast Cancer 3 Day walks, we had people cheering for us the whole way. I remember talking to one of my fellow workers after the event and she mentioned how let down she felt after the walk when no one was cheering for her anymore. We laughed about it, but both acknowledged the truth of what she was saying. So, “Give me an L!” “Give me an E!” “Give me an A!”…

I know what you mean about cheerleading…so nice to have someone tell you you’re doing a good job-makes you want to try that much harder.

I had to laugh at your initial response to the cheerleaders, because I was a pom-pon girl in high school, and oh if I’d only known then…

And there I was thinking cheerleaders had to be mean girls. I think I want one of my own.
