I’ve been reading the blogs on this site for a while, and I’ve never been inspired to comment until now. I love the way you write about your all-too-familiar struggles…it’s pretty much exactly how I think as well!
I hope you figure out your struggle with sugar, and I look forward to reading about it!

Thanks Coco and Mymsie. I think I was trying this at a too-stressful point in my life. Maybe in a few weeks when I’m not making Major Life Decisions, I’ll try again. Now I’m trying to focus on running more, and that’s going surprisingly well. AND I get to eat donuts with that plan. I promise I’ll try again (and again and again). It’s a lifelong struggle, or that’s my guess at least.

Shalini, I’ve been reading your blog for a while & it seems to me that you keep setting yourself up for failure by giving yourself such big goals. I think you might do better if you concentrated on smaller achievable goals instead of the all or nothing cycle you seem to be trapped in. That way you get to feel good about yourself instead of guilty the whole time (prompting you to reach for the donuts if you’re anything like me). Perhaps you could try 30 days of eating healthfully MOST of the time, you still get to eat donuts on THAT plan too
)
good luck finding a diet that works for you
